BCBC MANAGING DIRECTOR

Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at BROOKLYN COLLEGE (BCBC) seeks to hire a Managing Director to be responsible for all aspects of operations, management, fundraising and programming at BCBC, including management of its staff (4 full time, 2 part time, consultants), and mentoring of Brooklyn College MFA graduate students. S/he will provide leadership and strategic direction to BCBC, ensuring the organization achieves its mission and meets its goals for excellence in programming, administration, and financial management. S/he reports to the Dean of Visual, Media and Performing Arts and works closely with the BCBC Board of Directors.

BA degree (Masters preferred) and eight years at a senior level position within a performing arts organization or related non-profit. Some evening and weekend work also required. Review of applications to begin January 28, 2013. This position will remain open until filled.

USHERS and HOUSE PERSONNEL

Brooklyn Center is always in need of students, retired persons, or anyone who enjoys working with people on a part-time basis.  Ushers, Concessions and Parking Attendant positions are opened on a rotating and as-needed basis for the hundreds of shows and functions at Brooklyn Center.  If you have a somewhat flexible schedule and would like to work as an Usher and possibly other Patrons Services positions as they become available, please email your inquiry to email@BrooklynCenter.com.  Include your name, daytime and evening/weekend telephone numbers, and the best time to reach you.  Our staff will call you to arrange an interview.
